Another new blog-toy in the spirit of Waypath: Technorati backtracks links to the given page, reporting on the posting time and quoting the context of the link.

Try this: bookmark this link and then click the new bookmark while reading some page to get a pop-up window of what other blogs are saying about the current site.
Here's how it works: Take a whiny "I'm so disadvantaged in my cushy leather chair" op-ed piece like Lisa Guernsey's NYTimes article trying to graft gender bias into the blogosphere (it's not a gender conspiracy. it's only plain ordinary everyday big-media incestuously self-backpatting, which is clique-bias) Now --- before you make up your mind to agree with me --- check out the viewpoints of the technorati... including Lisa's own weblog entry about the feedback she'd received!
And on and on it goes: Recursively technoratae that blog and see what the blogosphere thinks of her excuses ...
Now that's balanced journalism, and brought to you by Web Robots and Here Comes Everybody. And timely too; it picked up my entry of this item within the half hour! It's really too bad the mainstream media won't work like this!
Ooops ... wait a minute. Thanks to my bookmarklet, looks like maybe now they do!
Hmmm ... there's a XUL project for some enterprising Mozilla programmer: How about a sidebar to Technorati/Waypath the current page? I haven't opened my sidebar in months.
