WayPath and other blogs like this
Wednesday, November 20, 2002

In the same general vein of Mark Pilgrim's "automated ways to find new and interesting people", it must be a zeitgeist because I've also spent the past two days applying the same principle; in my case, because each post is so wildly different, the lists only appear on the individual archive pages and use WayPath to do the cross-linking.

It doesn't always find a match, but when it does, the WayPath list is definately an excellent source of alternative points of view. The magic took a bit of work and it only updates the links when the individual index page is updated (which is generally just when the story is new; the full gory install detail is in the MT Support Archives.

Thousands of thanks to Tim Appnel and Steven Nieker for their invaluable help!
