Just so you know, I haven't been idle, just quiet; you already know I haven't been hanging out on my blog day and night. Small steps sometimes take the most effort and some new notches in the 'done' pile are getting Kato upgraded to a more manageable revision of Mandrake, with the 12 tedious hours of shoehorn traps and tricks duly reported to the Cooker as is my duty, in anticipation of immanent wireless broadband I prepped the LAN to run on the new OvisLink SR-500 home-office broadband switch graciously loaned on approval by our friends down at the CSC, updated the 802.11b Wireless Linux Guide and dogged a marathon irc-session with both paddles charged to kickstart the long dormant Canadian Linux Users Exchange. All, I'm happy and exhausted to say, were at least functionally successful, enough to move on down the todo list, but cut an ungoodly chunk of time away from playing Parappa the Rapper 2. Life can be hard sometimes.

The kids, in the meantime, have been happily splashing away in the wading pool at PauPau's house, the elder enjoying his music camp, but wondering when they'll break out the fiddles (should be today), and Mama's been hitting the Markham shops, tutoring some ESL and catching up with urban friends.
