I need a chunk of perl that converts 'WikiText' to HTML so I can lower the access barriers to posting weblogs. godbless.jpgTrouble is, I don't have time to code it, and that's where LazyWeb comes it, a site that asks us to blog them a quest, and Text::WikiText is mine.

Why WikiText? First I should say what it is because everyone knows even if they don't know what it is called. Ever use underscores in an email to signify underlined text? or use /emphasis/? Those simple markups are the beginnings of a formal text code that can make coding hotlinks as easy as [square brackets] and if popular blogs like MT or Blogger could just import a simple module to enable it, just about everyone could add some typography to their writing. All it takes is someone enterprising enough to cut the code out of one of the WikiWiki apps and clean it up for CPAN.

Here's hoping someone does ...
