Mastodon goes mainstream

Many years ago, likely early nineties, I received a phone call from my father. You may not consider that unusual, but it was my father, who never called, ever. Oh sure, mom might call and then say, "oh, dad wants to say a few words" and those few words then go on for an hour or more, but to initiate a call? It never happened before. I feared the worse.

"I've been reading this book," he began, "It's called Windows for Dummies..."

Although dad would be approaching his centennial year soon, I'd like to think, were he still with us, he might give me another call about this one!
