Video: Michael Moore cut this scene from Sicko because no one would believe it

Sicko: Out-takes - Michael Moore cut this scene from Sicko because no one would believe it.
A film from a place where everyone is equal, where families vacation with murderers, where sewage is fuel. Sci-Fi? No, but it is so unbelievable, Michael Moore chose not to include it in his film because he thought it would shock people way too much -- sure enough, I cited this clip on the Sun-Times Community Blog website and received heaps and heaps of nasty abuse from other readers.

Another copy!

What are the chances of TWO copies showing up in the delete bins in Owen Sound? But there they were - I had phoned the desk clerk last night, and yes, I would have driven out to get it right then and there, but he said it was gone - fortunately he didn't check all that well because we fished this second copy out in about 10 seconds.

I hope it plays!

Conspiracy of Science - Earth is in fact growing

Time to rip up all the geology books: Neal Adams thinks he knows why Eurasia and Canada have the same trees, and why the oldest fossils are all found on dry land. It's because the Earth is growing ...

tip: Neil's argument is a great deal more convincing so long as you stick with this film and don't check out his other YouTube posts ;)

Comment: The Secret is Bull Shit

The Secret is Bull Shit: "First off, Danny, Jeff el al, it is not a 'theory' it is a recipe; do you know why cakes rise? Do you REALLY know? if so, then you are some kick-ass physicists who truly deserve a lot of letters after your name, and perhaps you can then get on to some other big mysteries like 'WTF _is_ electricity anyway?' and subscribe to Jack Sarfatti's blog so you can argue with him.

Jane Goodall on what separates us from the apes

Jane Goodall on what separates us from the apes: Jane Goodall hasn't found the missing link, but she's come closer than nearly anyone else. The primatologist says the only real difference between humans and chimps is our sophisticated language. She urges us to start using it to change the world.
2003 talk by Jane Goodall on where we differ from the other primates, and where we don't, and how we shirk our great responsibility for being the master communicator that we are.
